Patrick S. Dr. McNulty graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami with a triple major in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and chemistry. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Miami Medical School, graduating first in his class.

For his orthopedic surgery residency, Dr. McNulty went to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, an affiliate of the Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He also completed rigorous fellowship training in spinal surgery at the Scoliosis and Spine Center, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Towson, Maryland.

Following his medical training, Dr. McNulty followed a family tradition with military service. Dr. McNulty is a decorated military veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Bosnian War. He served active duty with the United States Navy from 1994-1997 in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. In addition to deploying during the Bosnian War, Dr. McNulty was also the head of the division of spine surgery and was involved full-time with orthopedic residency training.

Dr. McNulty holds membership in a wide range of professional organizations, including the prestigious Scoliosis Research Society (the premier international society for spinal deformity surgeons), American College of Spine Surgery, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, Phi Kappa Phi medical honor society, Eta Kappu Nu electrical engineering honor society, and Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society.
